Fordingbridge helps Manchester capitalise on the padel boom!

The increasingly popular game of padel is truly thriving in Manchester! In the last six months alone, we’ve installed padel court canopies across four sites in the padel-crazy city with our team currently on other sites across the region…

The game of padel – little heard about only a few years ago – has Britain gripped. And nowhere is this more the case than in the city of Manchester. Across the city we’ve been flat out over the past few months installing padel court canopies at dedicated padel clubs, popular racquet clubs, and multi-sport centres:

• The Pollen Club – in the heart of the city’s buzzy Deansgate quarter, right next to Harvey Nichols, the new Pollen Club offers stylish city centre padel court facilities, with two new courts covered with elegant padel court canopies that blend seamlessly with the contemporary buildings around them.
• Powerleague Manchester – following the huge success of our covered padel courts at their Birmingham site, Powerleague came to us wanting padel court canopies to cover six of their new padel courts on their Manchester Nicholls site. A vast 48m x 45m barrel-vaulted, taper trellis canopy now spans all six courts, providing all-weather protection for players at the ever-popular multi-sports centre.
• Manchester Padel Club – at this dedicated padel club, the padel court canopy that we installed in the Summer of 2024 proved such a hit with members that the club has asked us to install another already! Luckily, our padel court canopies are always designed with expansion in mind and are easy to add to over time, so within weeks of the request coming in the new padel court cover was ready for members to enjoy.
• Soul Padel, Stockport – we’ve just completed a project installing a canopy covering four courts at the Soul Padel club in Stockport. The galvanised steel structure – measuring 44m x 22m – is covered in our unique Opal 60 roofing fabric. This exclusive roofing fabric allows 60% daylight penetration to create an inviting, light-drenched playing experience.
