The government’s recent announcement of significantly increased investment and support for SEND provision is a welcome and much-needed step forward for pupils, families and schools across the UK.  In a sector in which funding has been diminishing for years, and both mainstream schools and specialist provision have struggled to keep pace with growing demand, all too often only the most acute and immediate needs have been met.
