Let’s face it, our Spring and early Summer this year were washouts. But whatever the British weather has in store students at Manor Drive Secondary Academy in Peterborough will now be able to dine and learn outside thanks to a huge new all-weather canopy.

When Manor Drive Secondary Academy recently came to us wanting to significantly extend their outdoor dining provision, we worked with the school to create a huge 15m x 23m canopy. The resulting area will now provide additional seating for over 100 students every lunchtime and enable students to enjoy fresh air and uninterrupted views of the school’s impressive grounds, even in the wettest of weather.
And because the structure is covered in our unique Opal 60 fabric, the canopy will also give students and teachers protection from the sun’s harmful UV rays whenever the sun shines.
Dan Freeman, Site Manager at Manor Drive Secondary Academy said: “This space will completely transform the school experience for our students. It’s going to give them more options for where to eat at lunch, free up space in our dining hall to create more relaxing dining environments and will enable us to enhance the curriculum, with valuable outdoor learning experiences.
