Expansive school dining canopy creates outdoor eating and learning space

The brief given to us by Manor Drive Secondary Academy was to increase their outside space to provide an additional dining area as well as outdoor learning opportunities for their growing school community.

We designed, manufactured and installed a vast 15m x 23m  outdoor dining canopy in the school’s grounds. This additional school dining canopy has created a large area for students to sit and dine outside, even in the wettest of weathers, while our unique Opal 60 fabric provides UV protection. We also designed, manufactured and installed two conic structures, providing shade in the playground using tensile fabric.

This expansive school dining canopy has seamlessly extended the existing building, creating a much-needed additional space where students can enjoy eating and learning outdoors, rain or shine.
