Braving the elements: how our ambulance bay canopies protect crews across the UK
It’s the season of sleet, hail and snow. But while we might all be hoping for a white Christmas, icy precipitation is a nightmare for busy ambulance crews across the UK.
That’s why we’re proud to be able to offer hospitals a solution in the form of effective, durable, all-weather ambulance bay shelters.
Our designs are bespoke and tailored to meet the unique needs of each hospital we work with as two of our most recent projects show:
- At Doncaster Royal Infirmary we created a 30m long all-weather ambulance bay canopy that was designed with a generous 3.5m depth to ensure protection from whatever the great Northern weather has in store. And we polyester powder coated the full structure in blue to promote all-weather durability and ensure the structure fitted seamlessly in with the rest of the hospital surroundings.
- While at Hull Royal Infirmary our design and manufacturing teams created a striking free standing 10m x 35m long ambulance shelter for crew to arrive, depart and work under in all weathers to ensure the comfort and safety of passengers and crew.
