Hatch End High School in Harrow was looking for a cost-effective way of creating dining and social space for their 1400+ students and came to us looking for a dining canopy that could create a new all-weather space for their students to enjoy outside the main school building.

The wow

With schools looking to maximise the use of their grounds and wanting to embrace the benefits of enabling students to enjoy the outdoors in all seasons, we’re installing more and more all-weather dining canopies across the UK. And with our design team working in-house on the same site as our manufacturing team, we’re able to create bespoke solutions to fit the exact space a school has available to work with.

In this case, we designed and installed a large 36m x 20m all-weather dining canopy in Hatch End High School’s grounds. And it wasn’t just the footprint of the canopy that was generous. With a barrel-vaulted roof, the space inside the all-weather dining area will feel generous and airy for students to enjoy. The new all-weather canopy will also cover a food serving pod to provide shelter for students while queuing for their lunch.  The roof is covered in our unique Opal 60 roofing fabric that is not only 100% wind and waterproof, but also screens out all harmful UV rays – making it a truly all-weather solution!

The best news? All our structures come with a sector leading 25-year guarantee meaning that students will be able to enjoy Hatch End’s attractive new hybrid indoor / outdoor dining solution for decades to come…
