Four new padel court canopies open the possibility of year-round play

Powerleague – one of the UK’s largest providers of outdoor sporting facilities – has in the last couple of years become a huge player on the padel scene. We’ve been helping the sporting giant to ensure that the padel facilities they’re creating aren’t just top of the range, but are also all-weather so can be enjoyed year round.

Having already created all-weather facilities at key Powerleague sites in Manchester and Birmingham, Powerleague came to us wanting to design and install year-round covered padel courts across Scotland, including at their Paisley, Portobello and Sighthill clubs.

The wow

Having seen how occupancy rates soared once all-weather padel court canopies were installed, Powerleague came to us wanting to cover four of their new padel courts at their Paisley site. Our solution? Two vast 24m wide and 45m long structures – each covering two courts.

With barrel vaulted canopies, a generous 6.5m eaves height and our unique Opal 60 roofing that allows 60% daylight penetration whilst providing total protection from wind, rain, snow and sleet, the new canopies deliver a bright, light playing environment – no matter what the weather has in store.
