Creating a low-maintenance, year-round facility for club members

The brief

Having seen a huge upsurge in interest in their Padel Courts, West Worthing Tennis Club came to us wanting padel court covers to enhance member experience, but without losing the outside connection they knew their members valued.

The response

To cover their two padel courts, the club opted for our ‘base model’ design, which in this case featured a dual lattice arched canopy with side mesh ‘walls’.

The mesh walls and Opal 60 roofing fabric allowed daylight to flood the popular spaces whilst shielding them from the worst of the British weather.

The wow

With the club surrounded by trees, the mesh panelling to the side elevations of the new dual padel court covers protected the courts from falling foliage to avoid slippages and save on ongoing maintenance costs. The structure itself was also completed with a maintenance free galvanised finish, providing yet another cost saving for the club, when it came to ongoing upkeep.
