Village Hotels came to us wanting to create more than just covered padel courts for their Village Health & Wellness Club at The Wirral. Their vision? A premium all-weather destination combining high-performance play with a vibrant social atmosphere.

The ambitious brief called for a large-scale structure capable of covering multiple courts as well as generous social and spectator spaces. It was also vital to the team at Village Hotels that the new padel court canopy should have both a practical and aesthetic function – extending playing hours and protecting against the elements whilst also creating an environment that would elevate the overall venue experience.

The finished all-weather padel facility at Village Hotels’ Village Health & Wellness Club is anchored by a striking 22m clear span padel court canopy stretching an impressive 42m in length. With the clear span canopy having an impressive 6m eaves height the result is a vast, open playing environment, with three covered courts enjoying exceptional sightlines and minimal visual obstruction.

A galvanised steel finish gives the canopy a sleek contemporary aesthetic while delivering the durability needed for intensive year-round use. Above, the Opal 60 roof system allows up to 60% daylight penetration, flooding the courts with soft, natural light to create a bright, airy playing experience.

The result? An environment that is always inviting – encouraging longer playing sessions, court bookings that last well into the evenings, and high occupancy throughout the year.
