Not all sites are built the same. And when we saw Powerleague’s Portobello site we were immediately struck by the responsibility of building in such a stunning location.

With Edinburgh’s famous landmark – Arthur’s Seat – providing the striking backdrop to Powerleague’s facilities in one direction, and the town’s sweeping golden beach just metres away in the other direction – we know these new covered padel facilities would have to be something special!

Three barrel-vaulted canopies now cover three new padel courts at Powerleague Portobello, with the elegant curves of the canopies mimicking the undulations of Arthur’s Seat behind.

The white finish of the canopies creates an unimposing silhouette, whilst also creating a light-filled playing experience in all conditions.

Complimentary site visits with our expert team ensure truly bespoke all-weather padel solutions. On Portobello’s relatively exposed site, mesh to two elevations and on one gable end protects players and courts from wind and debris, while enabling players to still enjoy the fresh air and connection to nature they prize on this beautiful site. Site specific structural calculations also ensure that the impact of Powerleague Portobello’s coastal location isn’t underestimated.
