Creating an impressive triple span padel court cover for one of the UK’s largest tennis centres

Nottingham Lawn Tennis Centre is one of the largest pay and play community tennis centres in the country with 40 courts for the public to hire including world class grass tennis courts. As one of only a handful of centres in the UK to be recognised as a Lawn Tennis Association Youth Venue the centre has a high profile and quality reputation to maintain.

The centre commissioned us to create padel court covers for three new padel courts – installed to diversify the play options available and attract an even wider clientele to the centre.

Working closely with the team at the centre we created a triple span canopy to cover the three courts with a single, streamlined structure. The structure was finished with a power coating in Black 9011 to tie in with the courts’ steelwork colours – giving a sleek, high-end look.

Nottingham Tennis Centre opted for our developed model, which uses rolled CHS beams to create a  barrel vaulted padel court roof, with minimal ‘structural’ elements visible to give a striking aesthetic that blended with the centre’s surrounding world class tennis courts.
