Creating an all-weather loading bay canopy for protecting valuable stock in transit

The brief

Bleach of Lavant is a leading UK mainland road freight transport company specialising in delivering horticultural plants and goods on pallets as well as general haulage. Going from strength to strength they came to us wanting to upgrade their warehouse and create sheltered loading bays as part of an ambitious expansion.

The response

We designed and created the company an expansive 12m x 8m loading bay canopy for their newly renovated main warehouse. This enabled their team to load and unload goods – including delicate plants – from and into their warehouse with no worry about damage, no matter what the British weather had in store.

The generous dimensions of the canopy, spanning the warehouse’s two roller doors and stretching the full length of the delivery slope, ensured that goods could be fully protected before reaching the end user – a feature that has enabled this popular logistics firm to win even more contracts.

The wow

Because we look after projects from start to finish including design and build we are able to tailor designs to fit seamlessly into their environments and to meet the unique needs of each customer. In this case the loading bay canopy was carefully designed to tie in with the industrial aesthetic of the rest of the warehouse. The sloping canopy was also given a particularly high profile to ensure that high stacked pallets could be easily transported in and out of the warehouse without the need to disassemble them first.
