High demand drives padel expansion at Worldham Golf

Worldham Golf is a stunning parkland golf course set on the border of the South Downs National Park in Hampshire. Keen to broaden their offer they came to us just over a year ago looking to create a brand new all-weather padel facility. They knew it would be popular but could never have anticipated the back-to-back bookings and within the year came to us looking to extend the hugely popular club addition.

The catch? As the golf course is set in such beautiful surroundings, it was vital that the new facilities needed to blend sympathetically with their environment and sit seamlessly with the existing court.

The benefit of our end-to-end in-house operation is that our Technical Consultants – who carry out our complimentary site visits – work closely with our inhouse design team, who in turn work closely with our onsite manufacturing team.

This close, collaborative effort ensures that every project we deliver can be tailored to meet the exact, requirements, of every customer we work with. This end-to-end approach also enables us to design with longevity in mind and to create flexible structures that are easily added to, repurposed, or even relocated as a customers’ ambitions evolve.

In this case, our team designed and manufactured a 12m x 22m single span extension to Worldham Golf’s  existing covered padel court, to create a seamless twin span canopy facility – doubling existing capacity.

The now twin span steel structure features mesh surrounds to keep the courts protected from excessive wind and associated debris, while allowing for natural ventilation on hot days. Chosen in a deep green colour that complements its natural surroundings, the mesh panels demonstrate the benefit of bespoke design. Our exclusive Opal 60 roofing creates a lovely bright playing environment while screening out harmful UV rays.
