The brief

Harlequins came to us in 2022 wanting to match their visitors’ entry experience with the  quality of the spectator experience beyond, requesting an impressive covered entrance canopy to transform the visitor experience.

The response

Before we were commissioned, queuing to go through the turnstiles at Harlequins was an experience to endure rather than to enjoy. We wanted to change that by creating an impressive covered entrance that would reflect the club’s prestigious heritage and help build anticipation and excitement for the experience beyond.

Working closely with the Harlequins team we designed and manufactured a generous new mono pitch entrance canopy that now protects guests from the elements as they line up to go through new wider ticket gates, which enhance flow through to the impressive ground beyond.

We’re huge fans of design that is not only practical but beautiful, so we punctuated the light filled new canopy with coloured polycarbonate roofing in Harlequins’ brand colours. This striking feature means that when the sun shines the area beneath is now bathed in the club’s signature blue, green and pink colours.

The wow

Our structures are built to last and come with industry leading 25-year lifetime guarantees, so the children queuing under this canopy to see their rugby idols play today, might well be queuing under the very same entrance canopy when they bring their own children to see games in the future!
