Groves Garden Centre in Bridport approached us with a clear vision: they wanted a fresh, modern entrance canopy that would not only enhance their site’s visual appeal but also improve the customer experience. Their goal was to create a more inviting entrance that seamlessly integrated with the garden centre’s identity while providing a practical, weather-protected space for shoppers.
To achieve this, we removed two outdated canopies and replaced them with a striking, barrel-vaulted timber structure. The use of a glulam timber frame gave the new entrance a warm, contemporary aesthetic that blends beautifully with the natural surroundings. To further elevate the design, we incorporated prominent new branding, helping to reinforce Groves’ identity and attract more visitors.
The project was ambitious, but our team worked efficiently to complete the installation in just eight days. The result is a light-filled, welcoming entrance that provides the perfect setting for displaying seasonal plants, outdoor living ranges, and other retail products. The improved layout has made it easier for customers to navigate the space, encouraging them to explore more of what the centre has to offer.
Since completion, the new entrance has had a tangible impact on footfall, with more visitors stopping in to browse and shop, reinforcing the value of well-designed retail spaces in enhancing customer engagement.
“We’re thrilled with how the project turned out. The new entrance is exactly what we hoped for – a space that welcomes visitors and showcases our plants and products beautifully in every season.”
