Canopy colour finishes
With over 50 years of trading experience, we understand that your new canopy should serve as an enhancement to its surroundings and complement the setting, rather than sticking out in a negative way. Because of this, we offer a range of finishes with all of our canopies and shelters, both timber and steel.
With our steel work, we offer the full range of the RAL colour spectrum, enabling you to specify the exact finish you would like. Whether you are looking to match adjacent metal work such as fencing, marry up with your corporate or school branding, or simply looking to blend your canopy in with the landscape, we offer you the choice.
The colour is obtained through a polyester powder coating (PPC), where the canopy framework is charged with an electrostatic current before treatment, allowing for a smooth, durable finish. Non-toxic and with high resistance to UV, PPC can make a colourful alternative to our standard zinc finish.
Fordingbridge timber canopies use ‘glued laminated’ timber (glulam). Glulam is an engineered wood product, which is manufactured from layers of parallel timber laminations, giving it superior strength and design possibilities compared to other timber options.
Our structural glulam timber canopies are supplied as standard in our most popular timber finish with a “Light Oak” stain, creating a modern aesthetic while allowing the timber to remain warm and protected as it settles into its site. A variety of other finishes are also available, simply ask your sales manager for details.
