Providing a shaded area for seating and dining for visitors.
London Wetland Centre has been described as an urban oasis for wildlife and people in which you can stroll among the lakes, ponds and gardens. We were approached by the London centre of the nationwide Wildfowl and Wetland Trust to provide a shaded area for seating and dining for the visitors on their journey around the site, while being sympathetic to the surrounds. The cantilever design allows maximum coverage with minimum posts to allow easy visitor flow and seating arrangements in the area. In order to match the existing metal work, the RAL colour 7016 was selected for the polyester powder coating of the structure. To soften the canopy, a scalloped wired hem has been used on the fabric roof covering.
The structure is guaranteed for 25 years. All of our steel work is designed and manufactured by our in-house technical team, meaning precision in design, engineering and speed of manufacture. Fordingbridge is a fully CE mark approved manufacturer of steel fabrications.
“When we needed a covered outdoor space as part of a building development project Fordingbridge provided us with a simple elegant solution.
The Design complements the existing building and Installation was quick and fuss free. Our visitor and school groups now enjoy the verdant Wetland backdrop without worrying what the weather might bring.”
