Fordingbridge were approached by the main contractor working for the school to deliver an entrance canopy. The brief specified was to design an eye-catching feature to the main entrance to provide a focal point while in-keeping with the school branding and considering the disabled access.
Fordingbridge are accustomed to collaborating with main contractors and supplying bespoke solutions. The cantilever design meant there was no obstruction to the existing ramp access. To give a wow factor, the underside was clad with thermoboard timber to provide a warm aesthetic underneath the canopy. To comply with the school branding, a powder coated finish in their selected RAL colour was applied to all steel.
Rain water is discharged to the existing roof which removed the need to supply guttering. Gutters and rain pipes come as standard with Fordingbridge canopies and walkways. However, there are times when designs need to be different and accommodate the client needs.
