Fordingbridge were approached by the main contractor working with Nottingham High School to devise a solution to shelter the school’s redeveloped Amphitheatre so it could be in use all year round.
When designing solutions, our design team always takes into account any quirks of the project in order to produce the most fitting design. In this case the roof was designed using a faceted circle with an Opal 60 roof. This fabric roofing solution has been developed exclusively for Fordingbridge and is known for its longevity, high tear strength, UV protection and fire resistance.
Due to the natural curve of the roof, any rainwater will run off the structure, negating the use of gutters and rainwater pipes.
The space is now in regular use for presentations, musical performances and also serves as a place for students to socialise under shelter between classes.
