Extensive timber playground canopy constructed for Howe Dell School in Hertfordshire.

A 50m long structural canopy with an Opal 60 roof covering was designed and built by Fordingbridge.

Constructed as a covered walkway and playground canopy, the glulaminated timber structure also shades the adjacent classrooms.

The threefold nature of this structure is a perfect example of the different uses a canopy can provide for your site.

Style: Mono pitch

Frame: Structural glulaminated timber

Colour: Stained light oak. Our timber structures are available in a variety of colours.

Roof: Fire retardant Opal 60 fabric allows maximum light penetration whilst protecting from UV radiation. This fabric has an expected life of 8 years. Our structures can also be clad in a hard wearing 16mm triple walled polycarbonate, which has a guarantee of 15 years.

Gutters and rain pipes: Mill finished aluminium gutters and rainwater pipes as standard
