New extension helps improve patient care strategy at East Surrey Hospital
The Emergency Department at East Surrey Hospital was recently enlarged by 133m2 thanks to a new extension. The additional space enables a new streaming strategy, aimed at decreasing patient waiting times.
Fordingbridge worked with our client and Architect ADP to bring to life the statement build. Our scope included the structural steel frame and building envelope, all connected to the original structure. A striking modern look is created thanks to the vibrant, fire rated architectural cladding.
The A&E department remained open throughout construction meaning that safety was paramount to our build process. Our construction team timed the key construction elements to fall outside of the busiest periods.
