Grand opening of new garden centre

Part of the project delivery team from Fordingbridge were delighted to attend the official opening of the new Snowhill centre in Crawley, following successful installation of our hybrid plant area canopies.

Working closely with the business through the design process, Fordingbridge were tasked with the design and build of the substantial canopies, utilised to form a near-total covering of the outside space. Consulting directly with local residents, the Haskins team opted for our hybrid structures, blending durable steel columns and beams, with glulam timber arches for visual warmth.

Attended by Directors of the business, local residents and trade press, the ribbon was cut by Chairman Warren Haskin, forth generation within the business, along with his son and daughter-in-law.

The stores 3,000sqm plant area can be seen clearly from the approach near Crawley, West Sussex, as can the bespoke ‘top hat’ addition to the roof which was added at request of the client to provide additional ventilation through the area.
