Insulated Building for Iguanas

An Iguana House may seem a very unlikely application for a Fordingbridge Specialist Structure.

However, we were more than happy to rise to the challenge of supplying this high light insulated building to provide the ideal climate for these delightful creatures.

A building with maximum solar gains and heat retention in winter was required in order to ensure that the reptiles would remain active and visible.

Fordingbridge constructed a single box section arch over this relatively narrow span, 12m x 5m, with a triple glazed polycarbonate roof.

In this case we are unable to provide a quote from the customer, but I think if you examine the close up in picture 3, you will see the reptile’s smile….

This project demonstrates how, with our skilful and innovative in-house design team, we are able to design and build unique structures to suit some very unusual customer requirements.
